Prince George Cougars goalie Tyler Brennan has four shutouts this season, half of them against the Victoria Royals.
The 18-year-old Brennan made 24 saves to get the goose egg in the Cougars much needed 3-0 win Saturday night over the Royals before 3,195 fans in Victoria.
Craig Armstrong scored the winner shorthanded and added an assist.

Special teams played a key role in the win for the Cats with their power-play going 1-for-4 and their penalty kill 5-for-5.
Riley Heidt tallied his third goal in two nights and Blake Eastman scored just 37 seconds into the second period to make it 3-0.
Eastman did not finish the game, as he suffered a leg injury late in the third period.
Tarun Fizer was given a five-minute kneeing major and a game misconduct.
It was just the Cougars second victory in their last 12 games and allowed them to get a split of the two weekend games against the Royals.
Victoria won on Friday 4-2.
“That was a big win for us in a game we had to win. Getting the first goal and killing off a bunch of penalties early gave us momentum. Really happy for [Tyler] Brennan to get that shutout,” said Cougars’ Associate Coach Josh Dixon.
The Royals loss snapped Victoria’s five-game win streak.
P.G. is 9-4 this season against Victoria.
The Cougars visit the Vancouver Giants this afternoon at 4:00 in Langley.
The (21-35-2-1) Cougars are holding down the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, two points ahead of the (19-37-4-1) Spokane Chiefs and five points behind the (22-35-5-1) Royals and the (23-32-4-0) Giants.
Prince George and Vancouver have nine games remaining, Spokane has seven left and Victoria has five remaining.
