PG RCMP on the lookout for sexual assault suspect

A woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in Prince George on Sunday (March 27th), and police are looking for the public’s help in finding the suspect.

RCMP said they received a report of a sexual assault shortly after noon at a housing complex on the 2600 block of Recplace Drive.

They said the incident happened earlier in the morning, and the victim was holding an Open House, and was showing the unit to the male suspect.

Police said the woman reported the man touched her back and groped her, she yelled, and the suspect ran.

The suspect is described as:

  • Indigenous male
  • Between 35-45 years old
  • Approximately 5’10
  • Medium build
  • At the time of the incident he was wearing transitions glasses, a dark blue hoody, baseball cap and light blue jeans with rips in the knees

“The sexual assault happened in the middle of the day in a busy area of town. We want the public to be aware this happened and to remain vigilante when dealing with strangers on a one-on-one basis. Additionally, we are looking to speak with anyone who has video surveillance or dash cam footage capturing the suspect leaving the location around 11:15 am,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

Anyone with information is asked to call the detachment.
