Regional District of Fraser-Fort George retiring from collecting tires

Starting today, the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) is no longer accepting tires at the Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill, and the Shelley and McBride Regional Transfer Stations.

Other Regional District solid waste facilities will be phasing out tire collection in July.

According to RDFFG, this is due to a number of factors, including space constraints and collection issues at the landfill and transfer stations.

Additionally, the change recognizes the many options available for used tire collection.

More information on where to take old tires is available on the Tire Stewardship of BC website.
