Update: Pedestrian struck in collision in critical condition

Police say the pedestrian who was struck this morning remains in critical condition.

According to police, the collision occurred in the crosswalk at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Stuart Drive.

Investigators are looking for any witnesses to the incident, or anyone looking for dash cam footage from anyone travelling on 5th Avenue between Foothills Boulevard and Highway 97 at 7:00 a.m..

The intersection has re-opened to traffic.

A motor vehicle incident involving a female pedestrian is under investigation by the Prince George RCMP.

According to police, it happened just before 7:00 this morning (Wednesday) at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Ogilvie Street.

Cpl. Jennifer Cooper spoke with MyPGNow.com.

“The female victim has been taken to hospital with unknown injuries and our Municipal Traffic Services are at the intersection currently gathering information and motorists can expect delays of a couple of hours. We are encouraging everyone to take alternate routes this morning.”
