WHL:

The Prince George Cougars entertain the Victoria Royals tonight in their final regular-season home game.

The Royals lost to the Blazers 4-3 Friday night in Kamloops as the Blazers scored the winner with four seconds left in the third period.

The (22-38-4-1) Cougars are 9th in the Western Conference, just a point behind the (22-37-5-1) Royals and the (23-36-4-0) Vancouver Giants and two back of the (23-37-4-1) Spokane Chiefs.

The Giants suffered their seventh straight loss, falling 7-2 at home Friday to Portland.

Vancouver has five games remaining, P.G., Victoria, and Spokane have three left.

The Cougars, who have dropped 15 of their last 18, will close on the road at Kamloops on April 15th and at Kelowna on April 16th.

The Prince George Spruce Kings visit the Cranbrook Bucks tonight and with a win, they will advance to the second round of the BCHL playoffs.

The Spruce Kings lead the best-of-seven first-round series 3-2 with the home team winning each game.

A 7th and deciding game if needed would be played Monday in Prince George.

The Vancouver Canucks are six points out of a playoff spot with 10 games left (seven at home).

The (34-28-10) Canucks host the San Jose Sharks tonight at 7:00.

Vancouver is 26-12-7 since Bruce Boudreau took over as coach.

Golf:

Tiger Woods, at 1-over-145, made the 36-hole cut at the Masters.

The 46-year-old Woods will begin the third round nine strokes behind the leader Scottie Scheffler.

At 8-under-136, Scheffler has a five-shot lead.

Top Canadian Corey Conners trails by seven at 1-under-143.

World men’s curling championship–(in Las Vegas)

The Canadian team, skipped by Brad Gushue, finished first in the round-robin with a 10-2 record followed by Sweden at 9-3.

Canada and Sweden both advance to the semifinals tonight at 7:00.
