BCHL:
The Prince George Spruce Kings will play the Interior Division champion Penticton Vees in the second round of the BCHL playoffs.
Game one will be played Thursday in Penticton.
The matchup was confirmed Monday night after the Salmon Arm Silverbacks eliminated the Wenatchee Wild 6-3 in a 7th and deciding game.
The Spruce Kings advanced by knocking out the Cranbrook Bucks in six games while the Vees eliminated the Trail Smoke Eaters in five.
The other Interior semifinal will feature Salmon Arm against the West Kelowna Warriors.
The Spruce Kings’ schedule against the Vees is as follows:
Game 1 – Thursday, April 14th – Prince George @ Penticton – 7 PM
Game 2 – Saturday, April 16th – Prince George @ Penticton – 7 PM
Game 3 – Monday, April 18th – Penticton @ Prince George – 7 PM

The Prince George Cougars conclude their regular season with a pair of games on the road; Friday at Kamloops and Saturday at Kelowna.
The (23-38-4-1) Cougars are tied with the (23-38-4-1) Spokane Chiefs for 7th place in the WHL Western Conference, one point ahead of the (22-38-5-1) Victoria Royals and one point behind the (24-37-4-0) Vancouver Giants.
Vancouver has three games remaining, P.G., Victoria, and Spokane have two left.
The Giants host Seattle on Wednesday, host Kelowna on Friday and visit Kamloops on Saturday.
The Royals host Spokane on Friday and Saturday.
The top eight advance to the playoffs next week.

The Vancouver Canucks, riding a 3-game win streak, are six points out of a playoff spot with nine games left (six at home).
The (35-28-10) Canucks host the (40-29-4) Vegas Golden Knights tonight at 7:00.
The Golden Knights sit two points out of a playoff position.
Vancouver is 27-12-7 since Bruce Boudreau took over as coach.
There are 14 Tuesday games in the NHL with Winnipeg and Montreal the only Canadian teams idle.
