WHL:

The Portland Winterhawks enjoy a 2-0 series lead over the Prince George Cougars with Games 3 and 4 at CN Centre Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Winterhawks won the first two games in the best-of-7 Western Conference quarterfinal, 5-2 on Friday and 2-1 on Saturday.

In the Saturday game, Cougars goalie Tyler Brennan made 44 saves as Portland outshot Prince George 46-23 before 4,678 fans at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

In the Friday game before 3,813 fans, Portland went 3-for-5 with the man advantage.

The Vancouver Canucks, who lost 6-3 to the Calgary Flames on Saturday, are on the verge of being eliminated from playoff contention.

The (38-30-11) Canucks, who have dropped their last three, are six points behind the Dallas Stars for the final wild-card spot with three games left.

Vancouver will host Seattle on Tuesday, host L.A. on Thursday, and end with a road game at Edmonton on Friday.

The Canucks are 30-14-8 since Bruce Boudreau took over as coach.

Four teams remain in the running for the BCHL Fred Page Cup.

The Interior Conference championship series will feature the Penticton Vees against the West Kelowna Warriors.

NBA: 

The Toronto Raptors have their season on the line tonight (5:00 PT) when they visit the Philadelphia 76’ers.

The 76’ers lead the best-of-7 Eastern Conference quarterfinal 3-1.

The Raptors extended their season on Saturday by winning Game 4 with a score of 110-102.

MLB:

Houston Astros  8  Toronto Blue Jays  7  (10 innings)

Rookie Jeremy Pena hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th as the Astros snapped the Jays’ 4-game win streak.

The 10-6 Blue Jays host the Boston Red Sox in a 4-game series starting tonight (4:07 p.m. PT).
