48 kilometres of road planned for paving in PG

Two kilometres of concrete sidewalk and 1.1 kilometres of asphalt sidewalk are being rehabilitated in Prince George this year, and 1.36 kilometres of new concrete sidewalk is being installed.

That’s according to the City of Prince George, who add that 48 lane kilometres of road will also be repaved.

There are 38 paving projects planned for PG, and 12 sidewalk projects in total for 2022.

The road budget this year was reduced from $5.95 million to $5.5 million.

The sidewalk budget saw an increase in 2021 from $700,000 to $1.25 million.
