PG RCMP nabs two youths after liquor store break and enter

It didn’t take long for Prince George Mounties to catch a pair of youths following a break and enter to a local liquor store.

Just after 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the RCMP responded to an incident on the 100-block of Tabor Boulevard.

Witnesses reported seeing several suspects enter and exit the liquor store multiple times.

Officers, along with a Police Dog Service team, attended the area.

After brief foot pursuits, and with the assistance of the Police Service Dog, two suspects who attempted to flee the scene were caught.

However, the third suspect evaded police capture.

“Police recovered much of the stolen product, which was stashed nearby. The total value of the stolen merchandise was just over $2400, stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

Investigators released the two youths to their parents after arranging future court dates.

However, the third suspect is still outstanding.

Police are looking for anyone with dashcam footage or video surveillance from this neighbourhood, which may show the third suspect leaving the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
