Norman Lake evacuation order downgraded

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has downgraded the evacuation order for the Norman Lake area.

As of 8 am Sunday morning, land owners in the area can return to their property as the Little Bobtail Lake fire is now under control.

On May 10th, 130 properties were put on evacuation order, with only ten of those being year round residences.

The evacuation alert for the Berman Lake, Bednesti Lake and Dahl Lake Road areas is still in place.

People living in those areas are still being asked to be on standby in case they need to be evacuated again.
