Another event supporting Ukraine to be held in PG

Another event to show support for Ukraine is being held in Prince George this weekend.

On Sunday, a group of residents will be in the parking lot of Treasure Cove Casino showing support for the country. :

“They’ve kindly offered their space to us so that we can stand with Ukraine,” said Sherry Theuerkauf, one of the supporters.

“This is a nationwide objective through the Canadian-Ukrainian Congress and their objective is for us is to just stand and embody the truth that this war has now gone on, effectively on Sunday, 80 days.”

Theuerkauf was also a supporter at the Solidarity Walk for Ukraine held on April 16th.

“”It was very well received, we had over 100 people attend. Prince George is a last-minute town, so I’m hoping people will show up for Stand with Ukraine,” Theuerkauf said.

Theuerkauf is encouraging the whole community to come to the event, wear blue and yellow, and show their support for Ukraine.
