Jim Good’s efforts finally paid off.
The Prince George man was one of 20 recipients this year to receive a 2022 Community Award from the BC Achievement Foundation.
It is for his tireless conservation work, which has spanned over three decades at Goodsir Nature Park, just north of the city.
According to a release, Good built it as a hobby nature park and funded it in addition to raising a family on a modest salary.
A naturalist museum is part of the Goodsir experience, and it includes another of Jim’s passions, a collection of over 35,000 records for the public to enjoy.
