Over $45k raised to support Ukrainians arriving in PG

The Prince George Live for Ukraine event was held on May 7th, and the Prince George Community Foundation (PGCF) reports that $45,500 was raised.

The money was generated from sponsors, donors, silent auction purchasers, and people who bought raffle tickets, and Share Hope will be receiving the funds.

“On behalf of Share Hope, we are over the moon with gratitude for the funds raised and impact they will have. The money raised from Saturday night’s efforts by the Prince George Community Foundation, and the participation of many, is making a huge difference in assisting Share Hope to provide a measure of relief to Ukrainians fleeing the devastation of their homeland and the horrors of war. We must continue to do whatever we can,” said Eva Gillis, Chair of Share Hope.

“The Foundation is incredibly grateful for the privilege of hosting Prince George Live for Ukraine to support those that are settling in our community. We are very appreciative to all of our sponsors, donors and community members for showing what it means to be a part of this community,” says Catherine Pennington, President of the PGCF.
