RCMP issues weapons charges to local woman after College Heights incident

A Prince George woman is facing several charges following an incident with a firearm in College Heights.

According to the RCMP, the incident occurred on the 6200 block of Lalonde Road just after 8 pm last night (Monday) after the suspect was inside a residence with a firearm.

Cpl. Sonja Blom told MyPGNow.com it didn’t take long to diffuse the situation.

“The female was cooperative when police attended and she was arrested and is now facing charges of uttering threats, possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose, and a careless use of a firearm.”

The name of the suspect, who is in court today (Tuesday), has not been released.

No injuries were reported.
