Rocky Mountain Rangers celebrating 10 years in Prince George

Soldiers are parading the streets of Prince George in celebration today (Saturday).

The Rocky Mountain Rangers are celebrating 10 years in the Northern Capital.

“We thank the Mayor and Council, and the city, and all the folks in the outlying areas that have supported us in bringing back a military presence in Prince George and the outlying communities,” said the Regiment’s Commanding Officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Amedeo Vecchio.

Vecchio said he’s over the moon about hitting the 10-year mark in Prince George.

“We’ve met and exceeded all our benchmarks, we’re surrounded by some wonderful men and women in uniform, and their families, which I think is an important component in order to achieve success,” he said.

The parade column left Prince George City Hall this morning at 9:00.
