Prince George Hospice breaks $60,000 goal for Colour Walk

This past weekend was a successful one for many not for profit organizations around Prince George, as fundraising events came back to the community.

“The event altogether brought in just over $60,000. And so, it was a huge success again,” said Sandra Klimm with the Prince George Hospice and Palliative Care Society, who also organized the Colour Walk on Sunday (May 29th).

She noted it was great to see so many people showing up to support their organization.

“A lot of people who did walk for the month of May were there to get their final kilometres in, and a lot of people supporting, and wanting to celebrate life with colour. I think we had around 400 people there, possibly more.”

The Colour Walk wasn’t the only successful event on Sunday though, as the Climb for Cancer event also met it’s goal.

The Walk for Alzheimer’s, and the Prince George MS Walk also saw success.
