Lheidli T’enneh and PG Chamber of Commerce enter partnership

The Lheidli T’enneh First Nation (LTFN) and Prince George Chamber of Commerce have signed a partnership agreement to enhance their relationship.

The agreements includes commitments for LTFN Chief and Council  and the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to meet twice a year to discuss mutual interest, commitments to ensure inclusion in major events, and commitment to consider ‘Joint Advocacy’ on issues of importance to the Prince George area.

Last year, the Chamber of Commerce voted to grant the LTFN a lifetime membership.

“It lets us know they recognize Lheidli T’enneh, they recognize they’re on the territory, but they also recognize that we need to work together,” said LTFN Chief Dolleen Logan.

Logan added the Chamber of Commerce approached the LTFN around a year ago for the partnership.

“Chief Logan has showcased her leadership on behalf of Lheidli T’enneh, and the business savvy they bring to that,” said Prince George Chamber of Commerce CEO Todd Corrigall.

“I think it’s incumbent upon us to partner with any organization that shows that level of leadership, and that level of commitment to growth and opportunity here in Prince George and the surrounding regions.”
