NHL: (Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final)

Colorado Avalanche  4  Tampa Bay Lightning  3  (OT)

Andre Burakovsky scored at 1:23 of overtime for the Avs who outshot the Lightning 38-23.

Colorado led 3-1 after one and the game was tied 3-3 after two.

“There are some positive signs for us in this game,” said Lightning coach Jon Cooper of Prince George. “But the right team won the game, so give them credit for pulling it out.”

The two teams have a two-day break before playing Game 2 Saturday night (just after 5:00 PT) in Denver.
