Two Rivers Gallery featuring Northern BC artist’s connection to her roots

The Two Rivers Art Gallery is hosting an exhibit featuring an artist connecting to her Metis and Eastern European Roots.

Matrilineal features Sunset Prairie-based interdisciplinary artist Haley Basset.

Basset’s exhibition features a variety of art forms, including embroidery, beadwork, painting and sculpture.

She honed her skills while studying at Emily Carr University and Florence Academy of Arts.

“We are so grateful to have the opportunity to support regional emerging artists in the Rustad Galleria,” says Kait Herlehy, Assistant Curator at Two Rivers Gallery.

“We are thrilled to be able to share this space with Haley Bassett and give the Prince George community an opportunity to learn
about her and the powerful work she is doing.”

The exhibition will be open during Two Rivers Gallery’s regular hours.
