Cougars add scoring from Czechia in CHL Import Draft

The Prince George Cougars have a new forward from overseas.

In today’s (Friday’s) 2022 CHL Import Draft, the Cougars selected 18-year-old Centre Ondrej Becher from Czechia with the 16th overall pick.

The 6’0″, 161 pound forward led the AZ Havirov U20 team in goals (22) and points (36) during the 2021-22 season.

He also scored two goals in six games for the Czechia U18 team at the 2022 U18 World Championship.

Prince George has passed on their 2nd round, 76th overall pick in the draft.

PG Mounties asking public to watch out for missing woman

The Prince George RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye out for 45-year-old Catherine Stephanie Wilson. According to Police, she was last seen i the area of Norwood Street and Strathcona Avenue in the early hours of October 23rd, and has not been heard from since.
