Spruce Kings captain commits to Queens

The Prince George Spruce Kings’ captain has decided where’s he’s playing in college.

Spruce Kings Captain Kolton Cousins has committed to Queens University.

“I’ve heard nothing but great things about Queen’s,” Cousins said.

“It’s an honour to have the opportunity to have the opportunity to be a part of such a first class school and hockey program.”

The Sechelt, BC product scored 16 goals and added 14 assists in 54 regular season games last season.

Throughout his 5-year BCHL career, Cousins played a total of 215 Junior A hockey games with the Spruce Kings and the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

Community reads Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action

CN Centre celebrates 30 years

It was a Sunday fun day at the CN Centre as the City celebrated the arena's 30th anniversary. Plenty of residents got onto the ice at the arena for a free public skate, that went along with food, drinks, and cake.
