PG Cougars forward Riley Heidt will be dawning the maple leaf.
Today (Monday), he was among 23 players selected by Hockey Canada for the upcoming Hlinka-Gretzky Cup slated for July 31st to August 6th in Red Deer, Alberta.
Canada will face off against Finland in pre-tournament action on Friday, July 29 before playing its opening game against Switzerland on Sunday at 6 pm.
Last season with the Cougars, Heidt had 58 points in 65 games as a rookie.
Canada has won 22 gold medals in 30 years of the summer under-18 competition, along with three silver medals and one bronze.
