Native Fastball Championships

Today is the final day of the Native Fastball Championships being hosted in Prince George. The finals matches for all divisions are scheduled for 4:00 this afternoon at the Spruce City Stadium.

Games yesterday were available to watch live on youtube.

 

MLB: Toronto Blue Jays: 5  vs  Detroit Tigers: 3

Toronto bounced back from Friday’s 4-2 loss to the Tigers with a 5-3 win yesterday. A three run home off the bat of Teoscar Hernandez in the 6th inning was the difference maker in the match.

The two teams play again today at 9:05, their fourth head to head game since Thursday. Tampa Bay also won yesterday, Toronto remains two games ahead in the AL East standings.

CFL: Winnipeg Blue Bombers: 35  vs  Calgary Stampeders: 28

The Blue Bombers continue their perfect campaign, improving to 8-0 on the season. The game was tight, Calgary was up 25-24 headed into the fourth quarter, but they could not hang on for the final 15.

Today, the top and the bottom of the East division square off at 2:00 when the Redblacks play in Toronto. Ottawa is still looking for their first win of the year, currently 0-6.
