New festival about to bloom in Prince George

The sun has been out this week, the sunflowers will follow soon.

The Northern Lights Winery will be debuting a brand-new Prince George festival next month.

The Sunflower Festival will be a family friendly walk-through event hosted at Foreman Farms, just 10 minutes away from downtown Prince George.

“It is an excellent, big property, and we are going to have a ton attractions there” says Doug Bell, Owner and Operator of the Northern Lights Winery.

Some of these attractions, aside from the Sunflowers, will be interactive and static photo stations, a concession, and an animal area, housing goats, chickens and pigs.

The official opening date is still uncertain.

“We are currently waiting for the sunflowers to bloom. Unfortunately, this year everything was delayed due to the colder weather earlier in the year. However, we are expecting them to bloom and open in mid-August”

Once it does open, it will stay that way seven days a week through August.
