Hockey:

Canada doubled Finland 6-3 Monday to finish first in Group A with a 4-0 record at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Edmonton.

The Canadian team will play (1-3) Switzerland in the quarterfinals Wednesday.

The semis will go on Friday followed by the medal games on Saturday.

MLB:

Baltimore Orioles  7  Toronto Blue Jays  3

The (61-53) Jays suffered their fifth loss in the last six games.

The same teams play again tonight (Tuesday at 4:07 PT) in Toronto.

CFL:

The (7-1) B.C. Lions start Week 11 of the CFL season with a game Friday night (7:00 PT) in Regina against the (5-4) Roughriders.

The Lions have the second-best record in the league, only behind the (9-1) Winnipeg Blue Bombers, who are idle this week.

BC Football Conference: 

The (0-3) Prince George Kodiaks host the (3-1) Valley Huskers Saturday night at 7:00 in BC Football Conference action at Masich Place Stadium.

The Huskers won the two previous meetings between the teams: 34-17 on Saturday, August 13th, and 31-5 on July 23rd with both of those games in Chilliwack.

(The Kodiaks also have a 35-20 loss to the Kamloops Broncos on August 6th in PG)
