PG fuel prices remain the envy of the West

Prince George appears to be sitting pretty when it comes to the price of gasoline.

Currently the cheapest gas in town is sitting at around 102, while the most expensive appears to be around $1.13.

GasBuddy.com’s Dan McTague says the numbers in PG are enviable by all:

“Prince George has the lowest prices comparative to most other communities in BC and in Alberta. Mostly as a result of big box stores driving the cost of gas and using it as sort of a loss leader in the hope that you will come into the store and buy higher profitable margin goods”

McTague says between now and July the 1st we should see a level between $1.02 and $1.15.

But says its far harder to predict the volatile market heading further into the Summer, as refineries in the Pacific North West begin to come back online.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
