Hart Highway re-opens after serious accident

Update, 3:45pm:

RCMP have reopened the road that was closed, and the vehicle’s two occupants were transported to hospital with unknown injuries.

They are thanking everyone who took an alternate route this afternoon.

There will be no further updates.

2:22pm:

The Prince George RCMP have blocked off both lanes of the Hart Highway northbound at Noranda Road following a serious incident involving a pick-up truck near Monterey Road.

“We are asking that drivers chose alternate routes in and out of the Hart, to give first responders room to work. The highway will likely be closed for some time,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

More updates will be provided when available.
