Update: Damien Sanderson located deceased after Saskatchewan stabbing spree leaves 10 dead & at least 18 injured

Update 3:00 PM today (Monday):

This is an update on the Dangerous Person Alert issued by the Melfort RCMP for multiple fatal stabbings.

Damien Sanderson has been located deceased.

Saskatchewan RCMP continues to search for Myles Sanderson, who is 6 foot one inch and 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

He may be injured and seek medical attention. He may be in a black Nissan Rogue with SK license plate 119 MPI.

Saskatchewan and Canadian RCMP are in a full manhunt to locate Damien and Myles Sanderson.

Both men have been charged after yesterday’s stabbing spree that killed 10 people and injured 18 more.

The RCMP said the following in a statement:

Myles Sanderson is charged with: three counts, first degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code; one count, attempted murder, Section 239(b), Criminal Code; and one count, break and enter – residence, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code.

Damien Sanderson is charged with: one count, first degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code; one count, attempted murder, Section 239(b), Criminal Code; and one count, break and enter – residence, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code.

“To the people of Saskatchewan and beyond – please be assured that we are using every human, investigational and technological resource we have available to locate and arrest the persons responsible for this tragedy and to ensure your safety,” said Saskatchewan RCMP Commander Officer A/Commr. Rhonda Blackmore.

“Hundreds of Saskatchewan RCMP staff are dedicated to this investigation – this includes operators taking 911 calls and tips, to frontline officers patrolling our streets to the on-scene specialized forensic and Major Crime Unit teams who continue to follow up on all information and evidence gathered.”

Alberta and Manitoba RCMP are aiding Saskatchewan in the hunt, it is believed – but not confirmed – the two men could be in Regina.

They were last seen in a black Nissan Rouge, license plate 119 MPI.

Police are asking the public to be cautious, and not to approach these men or the vehicle if found.
