Aiden Foster commits’ to the PG Cougars

Another prospect has joined the den of the Prince George Cougars.

Today (Thursday), the WHL club signed Aiden Foster, the 61st overall selection in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft, to a standard player agreement.

“Aiden had a very strong training camp and is just scratching the surface of his potential,” said Cougars Director of Scouting, Bob Simmonds.

“Every time he is on the ice, you see another element in his game. Aiden is a bigger body player who brings energy and skill to the table each shift and he is a strong competitor. In camp, you could see how well Aiden meshed with both the veterans and other prospects.”

Foster spent last season with the Lloydminster Bobcats U15 AAA team where he finished the season with 50 points (29G-21A) in 32 games played.

In addition, Foster is a familiar name in Cougars history, as his father Aaron played for the Cats from 1999-2003.

The Cougars kick off their four-game pre-season schedule, tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday against the Vancouver Giants and Victoria Royals from the Jon Baillie Arena in Port Coquitlam.

Puck drop for both games is 7 pm.
