BCHL:
The Prince George Spruce Kings play three preseason games this week, with two of them on back-to-back nights at the PG Coliseum.
The Spruce Kings host the Merritt Centennials tonight (Wednesday) at 7:00 and the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Thursday before they play their final exhibition game on Saturday in Salmon Arm.
The Spruce Kings lost their preseason opener, 6-5 in Merritt on Thursday of last week.
They open their regular season on the road, Friday, September 23rd at Coquitlam.

WHL:
The Prince George Cougars play their final two preseason games against the Blazers: Friday in Kamloops and Saturday in PG.
The regular season opens for the Cougars on Friday, September 23rd when they host the Tri-City Americans.

The Prince George Cougars’ Director of Player Development Steve O’Rourke has a new job.
O’rourke, who has been on the Cougars staff for six years, has been hired as an assistant coach with the Oshawa Generals of the OHL.

The same teams play again tonight (Wednesday 4:07 PM) in Toronto as they continue a 5-game series.
With 20 games left, the (80-62) Blue Jays are 2nd in the AL East just 1/2 a game ahead of Tampa Bay.

Week 2 of the NFL season begins Thursday night (5:15 PT) with the LA Chargers at the Kansas City Chiefs.
Both AFC West teams won their opener.

CFL:
The B.C. Lions visit the Calgary Stampeders Saturday at 4:00 PM (PT) in the first of a home-and-home.
The same teams will also battle Saturday, September 24th (7:00) in Vancouver.
After 14 weeks of the season, the (8-3) Lions are tied with the (8-4) Stampeders for second in the West Division, although B.C. has played one fewer game.
Week 15 starts Friday night at 6:30 (PT) with (3-10) Edmonton at (6-7) Saskatchewan.

BC Football Conference:
The (1-5) Prince George Kodiaks visit the (2-4) Kamloops Broncos Saturday night at 6:00 in the BC Football Conference.
The Broncos beat the Kodiaks 35-20 on August 6th in Prince George.

The UNBC Timberwolves play in Alberta this weekend in Canada West Soccer.
The (2-3-1) UNBC men visit (1-0-4) University of Alberta Friday night (4:00 PT) and (1-4) Lethbridge Sunday afternoon (1:15 PT).
The (2-2) UNBC women play at (2-2) MacEwan Saturday and at (2-2) Alberta Sunday with both games to start at 11 a.m. PT.
