After a hefty review and report from the truth and reconciliation committee earlier this week one MP does not believe the Conservatives are taking it seriously.
NDP MP Nathan Cullen says he was shocked at the disinterest shown by government, and feels they are out of touch.
“a report is incredibly instructive it’s what we do with it is what matters most, and the Conservatives seem to be stuck in a very ancient idea of this country and do not want to move forward for Canadians”
Cullen mentioned that the lack of empathy and understanding from the Conservatives was profound, and believes they were completely dismissive of the findings and the work that must be done.
“I don’t know for the life of me as a Canadian, a father how the Prime Minister and his Aboriginal Affairs Minister could be this disinterested and dismissive of the findings and the work that needs to happen”
