Prince George RCMP looking for witnesses to fatal Hart Highway crash

The Prince George RCMP were called to the Hart Highway at around 4:00 yesterday (Monday) afternoon, after a motor vehicle incident near Weisbrod Road.

Investigators have determined a blue Pontiac Torrent crossed the centre median, and collided with a logging truck.

“The driver of the Pontiac Torrent did not survive the incident, while the single passenger was transported to hospital in critical condition,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“The driver of the logging truck was not seriously injured. Police closed the highway for several hours while an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist attended to gather evidence from the area.”

Police are looking to speak with witnesses to this incident that were not spoken to last night.

Investigators are also asking that anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident to contact the Prince George RCMP.
