Hockey Canada has chosen Prince George to host the 2017 Telus Cup midget national championship (April 16-22, 2017). P.G. won the bid over Langley.
The Cariboo Cougars will get an automatic berth as the host team. Four regional champions will also be in the field.
This will be the second time Prince George has hosted this week-long tournament, with the other in 2001 when it was called the Air Canada Cup.
Games will be played at CN Centre but will move to the Coliseum if the Prince George Cougars are still competing in the WHL playoffs.
