NHL: (8 Tuesday games with half of them involving Canadian teams)

Columbus Blue Jackets  4  Vancouver Canucks  3  (OT)

The (0-3-1) Canucks, who led the game 2-0, are the first team in NHL history to lose four consecutive games after holding a multi-goal lead in each contest.

Vancouver will conclude a season-opening 5-game road trip Thursday night (5:05 PT) against the Wild in Minnesota.

BCHL: 

The (6-2) Prince George Spruce Kings play two games at the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack; this afternoon (Wednesday) at 2:30 against the (4-2-1) Coquitlam Express and Thursday afternoon at 4:00 against the (7-0) Surrey Eagles.

WHL:

The (3-5) Prince George Cougars will try to snap a three-game losing streak when they play the (1-3-1-2) Vancouver Giants Friday in Langley.

The Cougars also visit the (5-1-0-1) Kamloops Blazers on Saturday.

BC Elite Hockey League: (BCEHL)

(U18)

The (4-2) U18 Cariboo Cougars visit the (4-3) Vancouver North West Hawks Saturday night at 6:15 in West Vancouver and Sunday at noon in North Vancouver.

The U18 Cougars are in third place out of nine teams and riding a 4-game winning streak.

The (1-6-1) U18 female Northern Capitals host the (0-8-1) Greater Vancouver Comets  Friday (6:45 p.m. Kin 1), Saturday (5:45 p.m. Kin 2), and Sunday, (8:30 a.m. Kin 2).

The Caps are 4th and the Comets last in the 5-team division.

The Yanks won the series 3-2 to advance to the American League Championship Series against the Astros which will begin tonight (4:37 PT) in Houston.

The Phillies lead the best-of-7 NLCS 1-0 with Game 2 this afternoon (at 1:35) in San Diego.

Week seven of the NFL season starts Thursday night (at 5:15) with the New Orleans Saints at the Arizona Cardinals.

CFL: (Week 20)

The (11-5) B.C. Lions visit the Edmonton Elks Friday night at 6:30 (PT) before they play at Winnipeg on October 28th to close out their regular season.

Edmonton has lost a league-record 16 straight home games.

The Lions are in second place in the West Division, two points ahead of the (10-6) Calgary Stampeders.

The Stampeders’ final two games are a home-and-home with (6-10) Saskatchewan starting on Saturday (4 PM PT) in Regina and concluding on October 29th in Calgary.

Week 20 of the CFL season starts Friday (4 PM) with (4-12) Ottawa at (6-10) Hamilton.

The Toronto Raptors open their regular season with a home game tonight (at 4:30) against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Canada West Soccer:

The UNBC Timberwolves conclude their regular season in Canada West men’s soccer on the road.

They visit the (6-5-2) Fraser Valley Cascades Friday night at 7:00 and Sunday at noon in Abbotsford.

The (7-4-3) UNBC men are third out of seven teams in the Pacific Division and have clinched a playoff spot.

Michael Henman of the Timberwolves has a league-leading 18 goals.

Henman needs one goal to tie the Canada West single-season record, and two goals to break the all-time conference mark.
