Another prospect has been added to the pool of the Prince George Cougars.
Today (Friday), the WHL club signed, forward Nicholas McLennan to a Standard Player’s Agreement.
He was the 41st overall pick in the 2021 WHL US Priority Draft.
“I first saw Nick playing in Phoenix at a U15 showcase. He immediately grabbed my attention with his skill, energy, and strongly competes. His coach Brian Swanson, a former
Edmonton Oiler, provided strong endorsement to Nick’s coachability and character.”
McLennan, from Anchorage Alaska, is currently a member of the Southern Alberta Hockey Academy of the Canadian Sports School Hockey League U18 (CSSHL U18).
So far, he has amassed five points in five games to kick off the season (3G-2A).
Prior to that, the 16-year-old played 40 games with Team Alaska 15U AAA, scoring five times, and 11 assists in 16 games.
