MEETING HELD ON THE CURRENT STATE OF THE NECHAKO RIVER

At least three more weeks of flooding is expected along the Nechako river.

A meeting was held in Vanderhoof last night where it was announced the river should be below bank levels by the end of the month.

So far there have been 14 days where the Nechako has been over 600 cubic meters compared to 56 in 2007.

Riverside Park is now closed due to the flooding.
