The Prince George Spruce Kings have added size to their back end and speed up front for the 2015/16 season. 1995 born defenceman Adam Brubacher, who is 6’4” and 205 pounds, joins the team after playing the last three seasons in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL).
Brubacher had 45 points (including 12 goals) for him hometown Elmira Sugar Kings last season.
The Spruce Kings have also recruited 19 year old forward Connor Logan. The 6’0” 175lb Logan played Junior B last season for the BC and Western Canadian champion Campbell River Storm of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL).
Logan notched 64 points (including 25 goals) in 40 games.
The Spruce Kings open their main training camp August 24th.
–Dave Olson of Quesnel drove to victory in the WESCAR 100 at PGARA edging Ian Graham at the finish line. In other races, Wayne French captured the Street Stocks Main Event and Devin Barks took top honors in the Mini Stocks Main.
–The Westwood Pub Devils improved to 10-0 this season and ran their PG Senior Lacrosse winning streak to 34 games dating back to last year. The Devils scored a 13-4 victory over the Crossfire in Quesnel.
The bottom two Senior Lacrosse teams meet tonight at 8. The 2-8 Northland/Nissan Assault battle the 0-10 Cowboy Ranch Stylers.
