For the second time this week, Prince George Fire Rescue crews have responded to a house fire in College Heights.
According to Assistant Chief Glen Nowoczin, crews arrived to heavy smoke in the basement suite of a residence at noon today (November 9) on the 7000 block of St Claire Street in the Southridge area.
Crews were able to contain the fire and minimize damage to the rest of the building, and all residents and pets got out of the house safely.
Damage has been estimated at $85,000, and the fire is believed to have been caused by an unattended air fryer.
No injuries were reported.
