BCHL

Prince George Spruce Kings: 7  vs  Merritt Centennials: 5

The Spruce Kings earned the doubleheader split in a wild affair with the Centennials yesterday afternoon, and eclipsing the double-digit win mark in the process.

The game was tied 4-4 heading into the third and 5-5 under 10 minutes in, Evan Fedele’s second of the season at 13:54 made it 6-5 and stood as the game winner.

The Spruce Kings record improves to 10-5-1-1, and they hold on to third place in the Interior division, one point ahead of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

WHL

The Prince George Cougars (9-8-0-0) host the Vancouver Giants (6-7-2-2) tonight in the CN Centre at 6:00 for heroes night.

A big crowd is expected to cheer on the BC Division leading Cougars this weekend – 2,000 tickets to tonight’s game were anonymously donated earlier this week.

The Cougars are 2-0 against the Giants so far this year.

NHL 

The Vancouver Canucks (4-7-3) are in Toronto today, and will take on the Maple Leafs (7-5-3) at 4:00.

That is one of 13 games on the schedule today, all seven Canadian teams are in action.

Canada West Basketball

Both UNBC’s men’s and women’s basketball teams are in Vancouver today preparing for a doubleheader against UBC’s teams.

The women will play at 2:00 this today and tomorrow, the men will follow both games at 4:00.

NBA

Oklahoma City Thunder: 132  vs  Toronto Raptors: 113

Toronto continues to hang around the .500 mark, now 7-6 this season.

They will play the 5-6 Indiana Pacers at 4:00 this afternoon.
