Vehicles, drugs and firearms seized by Cariboo Regional Mounties

Two separate search warrants in Riske Creek and Williams Lake led to a big haul by members of the RCMP’s Cariboo Crime Reduction Unit.

Williams Lake RCMP Corporal Brett Squire said on October 22nd CCRU officers with the assistance of front-line police officers from the Alexis Creek detachment, executed a search warrant in the 2200 block of Highway 20 in Riske Creek.

As a result of the search warrant, police said they seized a Ford F-350 and a Dodge 2500, both stolen from 108 Mile House, stolen medical supplies, and an unregistered firearm.

Squire said two prolific offenders were arrested on scene and charges are pending completion of the investigation.

On October 29th, CCRU officer, with the assistance of front-line police officers from the Williams Lake detachment, executed a search warrant on a residence in the 500 block of Midnight Drive, as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

As a result of the search warrant, police said they seized 290 grams of Methamphetamine, 35 grams of Cocaine, 1 ounce of fentanyl, a loaded .357 handgun, an SKS rifle, a significant amount of Canadian currency, and supplies consistent with the cutting, packaging, and trafficking of illicit drugs.

Police said three individuals, including a prolific offender and a member of a violent gang, were arrested.

Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
