UPDATE: Travel advisory in place between Prince George and Quesnel

Update: 4:30 pm

The highway has been cleared and the travel warning has been lifted, however, freeze-thaw temperatures are expected to continue throughout the week.

Drive BC is asking travelers to avoid non-essential travel between Prince George and Quesnel.

Highway 97, 22km south of Pineview all the way to Quesnel, is extra slick due to freezing rain.

Drive BC will provide updates on the highway’s condition throughout the day.
