Update: Fire crews battle blaze in Buckhorn area

Update 11:00 PM Tuesday, November 22nd

“Crews responded to a call of an outbuilding on fire on Lerelyn Road,” stated Renee McCloskey, Manager of External Relations with the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George.

She added Buckhorn responded, Ferndale, Pineview and Red Rock provided mutual aid.

The call came in shortly after 2:00 this afternoon (Tuesday).

There is no word yet on cause or estimate of damage.

Fire crews were called to the Buckhorn area south of Prince George this afternoon (Tuesday) to extinguish a structure fire.

A resident in the area said a carport behind a home in the 14200 block of Lerelyn Road was ablaze.

The fire appears to have been contained to the carport.
