Local mother hosting Holiday Bazaar to raise money for Northern FanCon

A local mother of six is fund-raising to give a special gift to her favorite annual event.

Dyanne Lybbert has been volunteering for Northern FanCon since it started in 2015.

“When I was younger, before I had kids, my dream was to work behind the scenes in television and movies,” Lybbert said.

“That dream sort of got put on the back-burn, and so when FanCon came along, it was a chance for me to relive my dream while still having my young kids at home.”

To help raise money for FanCon, Lybbert is holding what she is calling “The Holiday Bazaar” this upcoming weekend.

“I manage the Farmer’s Market, and I do vendors for FanCon, and I’ve been volunteering for FanCon since day one, and I just sat there and thought, ‘usually this is my quiet season at the Farmer’s Market, why not put a little something fun together,'” Lybbert explained.

“Between Farmer’s Market and FanCon, and working with the vendors there, it’s something that I’m absolutely bringing along with it, but mostly it’s just something simple to have some fun.”

The festive family tradeshow will take place at the Roll-A-Dome on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
