Vista Radio in Prince George has once again been the target of a break-and-enter.

The most recent incident happened on Monday, December 5th, at 11:45 p.m.

According to an eye witness, the male suspect broke an office window and is believed to have made an attempt to reach for a laptop with a pole-like object.

He fled in a black Honda Pilot after he realized someone was in the building at the time.

The same suspect is believed to be responsible for the attempted break-in at Lally Electric on Opie Cres.

Two windows at Vista Radio had rocks thrown through them in the early morning hours of October 9th (D. Bain, My PG Now staff)

This is the fourth time since November of last year that someone has attempted to break into Vista Radio’s PG headquarters on Ferry Avenue.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 9th, a pair of rocks were thrown through some windows, but nothing was taken.

At around 3:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22nd, an ax was thrown through a window, and a computer monitor was taken from the desk of one of the sales staff.

According to Cpl. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP, property crimes do tend to dip in the winter months, but overall there is no pattern to them.

“It depends on who and what is going on in town, so if there’s something that’s bringing more people in, or if we have more people that tend to trend towards property crime, then we might see a spike,” Cooper explained.

Anyone with information on any of these incidents or any other break-and-enters is asked to contact the RCMP.
