A water main break has Dominion Street closed between 1st and 2nd Avenue, as well as most of 2nd Avenue between George Street and Dominion Street.
The City is investigating the cause of a water main break in the area.
The cast iron water main, installed in 1968, broke earlier today. (Monday)
Crews were able to shut off water before 1:00 p.m., and informed the five affected businesses in the area they would not have access to water until repairs are complete.
City crews estimate the repairs will take about 12 hours, and water access should be restored by 2:00 a.m. tonight.
