High School Basketball
The College Heights Cougars have won the annual Duchess Park Condor Classic that took place last weekend.
They won all three games of the single-elimination tournament.
They handily beat Caledonia (from Terrace) 95-64 in round one.
Round two was a nail-biter against PGSS, winning 69-68.
The finals match was another close win against Nechako Valley Secondary, who beat host Duchess in the semi-finals, 75-72 to be crowned champions of the weekend tournament.

The (13-15-3) Vancouver Canucks host the (18-10-3) Seattle Kraken tonight (Thursday at 7:00) and visit the (18-14-2) Edmonton Oilers Friday night (6:00 PT).
The Canucks are sitting nine points out of a playoff spot.

WHL:
The Prince George Cougars have a home and home with the BC Division-leading Blazers to close out 2022.
The two teams meet Friday, December 30th in Kamloops and on Saturday, December 31st at CN Centre.
The (14-15-3) Cougars have lost seven straight but are still 5th in the Western Conference as of the Christmas break, two points behind Everett, one point ahead of Vancouver, two points in front of Tri-City, and four ahead of Kelowna.

BC Elite Hockey League: (BCEHL)
The (5-12-1) Under-18 Cariboo Cougars, riding a 10-game losing streak, are idle until January 7th when they visit the (4-17-0-1) Thompson Blazers in Kamloops.
Cariboo is 7th and Thompson 8th in the nine-team U-18 Division.

Pascal Siakam scored a career-high 52 points to help the (14-18) Raptors end a 6-game losing streak and the Knicks 8-game winning streak.
The Raptors visit the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday night.
