United Way making final fundraising push for Tree of Lights campaign

Nearly $50,000 has been raised by United Way through the Tree of Lights so far.

By December 22nd, the goal was to have raised $85,000 to light up the full tree on top of the Coast Inn.

To celebrate the holiday they have decided to light the tree up all the way, but the fundraising push is not over yet.

Donations made between today and January 8th are entered to win the “I’m Not Cooking! Restaurant Pack.”

The pack includes:

  • A $60 Mr Mikes Gift Card
  • $25 Zen Noodle House Gift Card
  • $25 Karahi King Gift Card
  • A pasta party for 6-20 people at the Canadian Brewhouse

50/50 tickets are still available as well, the grand prize will be up to $25,000.

“United Way is about bringing people and contributions together to maximize impact in the
communities we serve, and we can’t think of a time where this was more relevant, or necessary, than
now,” said Trista Spencer, United Way’s Executive Director of Northern BC.

“Please join us in mobilizing the community, and help us get to that $85,000 goal to help our
family, friends, and neighbours throughout the coming year.”

All the money raised will go to a large variety of charities and non profits in the community.

Donations are being accepted at the Coast Inn all the way through the holiday until January 8th.
