Racing may be deep into its offseason right now, but fans have something to look forward to coming up very soon.
Landmarks is a documentary TV series coming to Telus Optic and YouTube, which will feature stories in Prince George and Fort MacMurray.
It makes its debut on Tuesday (December 27) with an episode all about PGARA that was filmed in the summer.
Peter Hays, the director of the series, said people who have not been to PGARA “don’t know how fun it is… there is a lot of racing, there is a lot of action, it is a great community,” and that is why he picked it as one of his five episodes.
The documentary will focus primarily around 14-year-old Corbin Conn, who is a third generation driver in the midst of his rookie season at PGARA.
“There is nothing staged about this series,” said Hays, excited about the work that himself and his crew got done at the track this summer.
The other two episodes set in Prince George are titled The Little Prince and Mr. PG.
Telus Optik channel 8 will start streaming the episode at 8:00 am Tuesday, which is the same time it will go live on their YouTube channel.
