Tourism PG debuts “Local Legends” series with look at local skier

Tourism PG is launching a new campaign to attract more people to the Northern Capital.

“We’re going to be trying to convince people to come to Prince George, by telling the story of people in Prince George,” explained Colin Carson, CEO of PG Tourism.

To do this, Tourism PG has premiered the first of their new video series, Local Legends.

6ix Sigma, a local production company, shot and produced the first video, focused on Zorro.

“Zorro’s a 72-year-old man who lives in the Hart, and loves skiing at the Hart Ski Hill,” Carson said.

“This an opportunity to showcase a really cool facility we have in Prince George, our local ski hill, but also talk about a real unique character who loves skiing there.”

Carson added that 6ix Sigma has done a great job of narrowing the list of potential subjects down, and presenting options.

The next episode will come out this Winter, but Carson said they’re keeping the subject a secret for now.

“The next one will be another Winter-focused video,” Carson said.

“It’ll be highlighting another person, as well as another tourist-unique attraction we do have in Prince George.

The first video is available here.
