Highway 16 passing lane part of 10 year transportation plan

Construction on highway 16 aims to improve road conditions for the influx of new commercial growth in the Region.

Highway 16 at Telachick East road will have a passing lane installed thanks to a $2.68 million dollar contract from the government of BC.

This will enhance safety and efficiency for road users as they will have a larger opportunity to pass slower moving vehicles.

Work is scheduled to start mid-June and should be completed in late September.

This is all part of the governments 10 year transportation plan, looking to improve the Provinces transportation network.
